1st Half of August 2017

8/1--Jared brought Makenna to soccer practice with her new team. Also, Stephanie had her 4th baby!

8/2--The girls and I went to a luncheon at a park with a bunch of ward friends because a former ward member, Tatiana Vincent, was in town from Louisiana.

Makenna's first "fall" soccer game was that evening (she has 8 games this month)

8/3--I set up the pool for a couple of days and some of the twins' friends came over and swam

Jason was in town from NY for a wedding (he and Mikan are there for the summer to sell pest control) and he came over for dinner.

8/4--The twins swam for a bit on Friday, after which they used just about every pillow and blanket upstairs to make a huge nest in the foyer.

Jason came and spent the night at our house after the wedding reception he attended. He watched "Hacksaw Ridge" with me and Jared.

8/5--It was a great morning for a soccer game. And Jason came to the game with us. :)

We had a blast at the Summit County Fair Demolition Derby that night with Jared's dad and sister and her kids! Jared and Avery even went out on the track and participated in the dance/hula hoop competition and got 2nd place and won some concert tickets. Jared had Avery on his shoulders and tried his best to hula hoop after the dance part, ha ha! The announcer asked Avery to hula hoop and she did awesome, which is how they won 2nd! It happened so fast that I didn't get video of that part but it was super cute! We stayed for the fireworks afterward and got to Grandma's house really late. It was at least 12:30 before the kids fell asleep. We had a hard time getting up this morning but Jared got to see and reminisce with several childhood friends at church. We then came home and napped for a bit, of course. :)

8/7--They had a late-over with Bailey and they watched a movie and played in their fort. :)

Another "Whiskers in clothes" video. 😂

8/9--Dark skies and nice cool breezes at tonight's soccer game. I was thankful the game ended just before the wind really kicked up and it started to rain. We brought Bailey to the game with us and stopped and got $5 pizza on the way home. These cute girls love being together and always have a great time together.

8/10--The twins and I had a great time at a splash pad this morning with friends. The kids had a blast playing in the water while I had a lovely time with my friends. Isn't it awesome when you love your kids' friends AND their parents? :D Makenna spent nearly the entire time following her flip flop down the river. Avery, on the other hand, was glued to Bailey's side. They were even holding hands at one point. It was so cute!

8/11--We drove up to Hoytsville Friday afternoon and hung out with 2 of Jared's sisters and their kids for a bit, then we all went to the fair. That night, our family went to the rodeo and stayed for the fireworks. If you saw my post about the demolition derby "Star Spangled Banner", it was WAAAAAY better at the rodeo! The next morning, we went to the parade with Laura and her kids and Jared's parents. [I didn't have my phone, so I don't have pics to post. ☹]

8/12--Cool cat. 😁

8/14--How they roll--riding scooters in dance costumes, ha ha!

A SIL and her kids came and spent the night. She stayed with the kids so Jared could take me out to eat at Cheesecake Factory as a late anniversary dinner. Yum! The girls did nails while we were gone and the kids played.

8/15--The kids had fun playing together all day, once Makenna and her cousin finished cleaning up a huge mess they made the previous night. They scattered a bucket of dried beans, rice, and corn (which the girls have used to scoop with measuring cups for a few years now) ALL OVER THE PLAY ROOM. :O
