2nd Half of September

9/16--We drove to Holladay and picked up bunk beds I found on KSL; we got the bunk beds, with fairly new mattresses and bedding.  The twin played with the little girls that lived there while we loaded the truck with all the stuff.  They said they wanted to go back and play with them. :)

9/17--Our niece has had all of her leg surgeries performed and prosthetic legs made at Shriners. We went with her and her brother and mom and Grandma to the Walk and Roll for LOVE this morning. The kids got all kinds of treats (cotton candy, cookies, Hawaiian ice, watermelon) and got to do lots of fun things (ride ponies, climb the rock wall--which my girls wouldn't do--face painting, dress teddy bears and give the teddy bears check-ups, decorate pillows, slide down an inflatable slide, take pictures with characters). We had a fun time! Thanks, Laura Openshaw! — at Shriners Hospitals for Children—Salt Lake City.

The morning wore them out (besides the fact that they were open till 10 last night because we went and picked up bunk beds for them)
So this happened tonight. Finally out of their toddler beds. Bittersweet. 😒☺ We picked up the bunk bed last night and the girls couldn't wait for us to put it together. While putting it together, we realized we didn't have all the parts so Jared had to drive to pick them up tonight. We woke the girls up to finish putting it together and I think we finally finished at 10:30. They were happy to finally be able to sleep in it.

9/18--In 2 1/2 months, I will no longer be the only sister-in-law on the Crittenden side! I'm so happy for these two! They came over for dinner after he proposed this evening. The lovey-dovey-ness was almost nauseating, ha ha! J/J, Jason and Mikan! Y'all are too cute. I'm excited for y'all. :D

9/19--πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•

Can they get any cuter than this?? It looks like they're holding paws.

9/22--Someone really enjoyed her Nutella today. :)

Oh, the joys of your kids discovering knock knock jokes. Repeating the same ones over and over again and making up ones that make no sense whatsoever but they get a total kick out of them. :P

9/23--We went to Home Depot and Hobby Lobby this afternoon to get the stuff we need to make a balance beam for Avery to practice on, then we went and ate an early dinner.

They got owl pillow kits at the Shriners Walk and Roll for LOVE last Sat. We made and decorated them tonight and the girls are in love. :D Avery had to add extra pieces to hers, which I cut from felt I had on had--the hearts on the wings and the rosy cheeks; the kit also only came with enough of the black pieces for either feet or eyelashes and she wanted both. :)

9/24--We finished the balance beam for Avery. She has been practicing her handstands so I also have a gymnastics mat on order. Hopefully, we'll see some improvement in her skills and she won't be as scared to be on the beam in gymnastics class. :) BTW, Makenna decided to quit gymnastics and start basketball next month and they both will continue to do dance. :D

9/29--After school activity at the dinosaur museum:

Avery: Mommy, come take pictures of me! :)

After three hours at the dinosaur museum, they talked me into taking them to Farm Country. We stopped and picked up dinner from Popeye's and they fell asleep on the way home.

Looking forward to all the Halloween festivities of October!! :D
