1st Half of October 2017

10/1--While I was gone all weekend with my BFF's, Jared and the girls had fun together doing things like playing Mario Kart while eating Crunch 'n Munch and building forts and watching conference.

10/2--We used a lizard, a walking stick, a wolf spider, and 2 scorpions (along with a black light, which makes them glow) that Jared brought home from AZ last week to do a show and tell in the twins' class today.

10/5--Avery lost her 5th tooth, her first one on the top. Just like Makenna, she asked me to pull it out, then she freaked out for a bit, then she didn't even feel it come out.

10/6--The twins and I had some fun at Wal-Mart tonight. 😅

10/7--They had fun at a friend's princess birthday party this morning. 👸❤👸

10/10--Avery lost her second upper front tooth while I was away playing Bunco tonight. Jared said they had an apple with dinner and it was loose enough that he was worried she would swallow it, so he pulled it (barely had to pull it). Cute little snaggle smile. :)

10/11--1st grade basketball summed up in 6 seconds. 😂 Makenna had her first game of the season tonight. It was slightly better than last year but not much, ha ha!

10/13--I took the girls to Family Fright Night at the library tonight. We walked around the (mostly) dark library and read local ghost stories and several Halloween themed kids books (which were printed poster size and posted along the walls and book aisles), blindly felt creepy things (like skeleton fingers, brains, boogers, ears, eyeballs, etc.--Makenna refused to feel anything), and had donuts and apple juice. Fun, free activity.

10/14--Had to take a picture of my beauties with the beautiful mountains today.
That afternoon:
Trying to watch my Tigers and the Astros at the same time. Both close games, my stomach is in knots!

That was intense! GEAUX TIGERS!! (We beat #10 Auburn by 2 points!)

Check out these cheering signs that Makenna made for me for the game. I like how on the "Yes!" one she put "Touchdown! and Offense! and Defense!" She made these without me even knowing she was. 😀😀😀

That night: Whiskers was actually sleeping like that earlier. And now he's sleeping with his brother. Aaaw!

10/15--Had these cuties over for dinner tonight. Jason also helped Jared move an organ to our house that was given to us and the girls got to play Mario Kart with Jason and Mikan. Thanks for the great night, y'all!

Halloween activities start this week! And the girls have their fall break Thurs.-Mon. WOOHOOOOO! 😀

September 2017

9/1--Coralie, my friend across the street, thought it was funny to send this over with her daughter just now. She said it's a peace offering before the game tomorrow. Hmmmmm... 😉 😜

9/2--It's game day, it's game day, it's game daaaaaaaaaay! GEAUX TIGERS!!! ❤🐯🏈

I love all day football kind of days. 😊🏈😊

LSU 27, BYU 0 😀😀😀

Since I live less than 20 miles from BYU and I'm surrounded by Y fans, I'm not dreading church tomorrow like I would have if LSU had lost. 😄

9/3--2 of Jared's sisters who live in AZ and ID were here for a baby blessing and we all met up at a park and played for several hours and had a picnic, along with some of us who live here in UT. The kids played on the playground for a while, then they played dodge ball with tennis balls they found, then we went and ate under the pavillion, after which the kids had a tea party using acorn tops as tea cups and leaves as the saucers, and they played tennis dodge ball again on the tennis court. They had so much fun they didn't want to leave but it was already 8:30 and dark when we left.

Oh my, a news commercial just came on before the girls went to bed and the news woman said some people thought they were pushing off a rock while they were floating a river but it was actually a body. Avery looked up with wide eyes and said, "A dead body?! That's scary!" I felt bad that she heard that but it was kind of funny at the same time.

9/4--We heard the new Taylor Swift song the other day. Today, Avery asked me if Taylor Swift is really dead. I explained what it meant about the old Taylor being dead. Avery said she liked the old Taylor better because she was nicer. I agreed.

Unbeknownst to me until after it was done, Makenna made this for her teacher. 😂 The dollar was given to her by Grandpa so she could get herself a treat the next time we go to a store. So sweet that she's giving it to her teacher but I wonder what Mrs. Redd will think!

9/6--The twins and their BFF planned their next late-over and created this itinerary. 😀

9/7--Makenna's All About Me Book that she did for her class:

Avery's All About Me Book:

9/15--After school fun at Museum of Natural Curiosity :

9/16--All four of us had Primary Program practice in the morning, then I watched football while the girls played across the street at Bailey's house. Makenna came over and said, "Mommy we can hear you screaming all the way over at Bailey's house!" Cheering for my Tigers. Deal with it. 🤣

9/17--Kenna lost her 7th tooth last night (I pulled it). As usual, she freaked out before I pulled it, then she barely felt it when I did pull it.

9/21--How sweet is this note from the twins' BFF across the street?? It's settled, we're never moving. 😄

9/22--Paper plate dogs they made at the library Kids Club that week:

9/26--Guess I'd better get use to construction noises for the next few months. Good thing I really like the people building next door to us. :D [They currently live one street over and have a little girl that the twins play with. Awesome family.]

9/27--Just a little note from Avery to Makenna. 😊

9/28-10/1--Girls' Weekend with my besties! Sarah flew in from Virginia to attend her mission reunion and spend the weekend with the rest of us. On Thursday night, Sarah, Becky (Sara's mission companion), and I went with Kiki to her U-Jam class at UVU (I just sat and watched a show on my phone because of my Plantar Fasciitis and my back), then we went and ate at Culver's.

On Friday, Kiki, Sarah, Becky, Amiee, and I ate lunch at Village Baker. Sarah then went to Becky's house because they had to get ready and go to their mission reunion that night and Kiki had to go home to teach art lessons, so Amiee and I went to the hotel room and hung out until Jamie got back from the make-up classes she had all day. When Kiki came back, we all went and ate at Slapfish and hung out at the hotel until Sarah got back; we all stayed in the hotel room (we had to use the sofa pull-out bed). On Sat., we slept in a bit and missed the hotel breakfast but ate junk in the room, then went shopping at the outlets and Sam's Club (I got new coats for the twins, yay), and ate lunch at Pizzeria Limone. That evening, we went to Kiki's house and she made steak fajitas for us and we watched comedians on Netflix. I stayed at the house with Kiki while everyone else went and stayed in the hotel room (because Kiki and I had a difficult time sleeping in the hotel room the previous night). The next day, we all at lunch at Cafe Rio and went shopping at Home Goods and Ulta. I love hanging out with my BFFs!
