9/7/12--we went to a ward/neighborhood party in the cul-de-sac behind our house. There was a great live band (a couple from our ward play/sing in it), tons of food, balloon making, face painting and getting to know people. It was really fun.
| Makenna chowing down |
| Avery enjoying her food |
| Laughing with Daddy |
| Makenna's face paint (a heart) |
| Makenna checking out Avery's face paint |
| A balloon flower that Makenna found--I made her put it back where she found it and she was really mad, ha ha! |
9/8/12--Timmy came over to watch the LSU vs. Washington game with us and I put the tiger suits on the girls again:
| Avery loves hanging out with Uncle Timmy! |
| We took the tiger suits off and put their pj's on and Makenna started a new fashion trend with hers |
9/10/12: The girls and I went to the zoo with Grandma, Uncle Jason, Aunt Stephanie and Luke, and Aunt Laura, Daisy, and Cody. We had so much fun!
| Avery enjoying the otters and looking pretty :) |
| Watching the seals being fed |
| We LOVED the polar bear, who kept coming up to the window and saying hi to the kids! |
| Avery loved having Uncle Jason carry her around the zoo |
9/20/12--after eating breakfast, we packed a lunch and made our way to American Fork Canyon for a drive around Alpine Scenic Loop. It was so beautiful! When we got down to Provo Canyon, we stopped and had lunch and played at Nunn's Park:
| Makenna eating lunch |
| Avery enjoying some home-grown tomato |
| Makenna's hair was crazy on the slide at the playground there in the park after eating lunch |
| Avery's hair was crazy, too, but Makenna's was even wilder! |
| Daddy dipped both girls' heads in the river and Avery thought it was hilarious |
| Makenna's hair is cracking me up! We let them play in the dirt a bit |
| Makenna really enjoyed getting dirty |
| Since
they had already gotten dirty and walked into the water with their
tennis shoes on, we decided to go ahead and take their pants and shoes
off and let them wade in the river for a few minutes |
Needless to say, we stripped them down to just their diapers for the ride home. Jared sat in the back to keep them awake so they would go right down for their nap when we got home. Boy, were they tired! It was such a great family outing. We had so much fun!
