Sat., 12/24:
The flights to Baton Rouge were great. Everything went really smoothly and the girls were great. Since we spent the few minutes we had during our layover in Houston feeding the girls, Jared and I were starving by the time we got to BR, so we stopped and ate at Popeye's on our way to my parents' house. When we got there, my mom gave them birthday presents to open--mini pillow pets and cheerleader teddy bears:
(And they enjoyed playing with Maw-maw's Christmas decorations):

My brother, Ben, and his family came over and we all had my dad's BBQ chicken for dinner and hung out.

Sun., 12/25:Christmas morning, Santa surprised Mommy by bringing a Let's Rock Elmo--he sings and plays the drums and tambourine!

We all went to church (met Ben & Becky there); Albany and Hammond Ward met together and a lot of people (who now live out of town) were in town this year, so I got to see a lot of people I haven't seen in a long time. It was great! After church, we went back home and opened presents (after feeding the twins). I got this photo of the twins and their cousins first:
We gave Belle & Brenna baby dolls:
Ben & Becky gave the twins a xylophone and a Pooh Bear with a pull-along wagon.
Becky also brought Christmas headbands for the twins:
We gave my parents a framed photo of the twins in their blessing dresses and a photo book of their first year:

My parents gave us a Cracker Barrel gift card and gave us money to buy the twins something (so we didn't have to pack more stuff to bring home); Ben & Becky gave us a church DVD and a wooden picture frame (that allows you to add several 4x6 photos to flip through):

My favorite thing this Christmas--having my angels with me:
This trip was the first time Becky was able to see the twins in person.
After opening presents, we put the twins down for a nap and had a huge meal of turkey, stuffing, green bean casserole, artichoke casserole, broccoli & cheese, yams, and homemade mac & cheese. We just played the rest of the day after the twins woke up and watched football.
It was an awesome Christmas and we had SO MUCH FUN! The only thing that would have made it better was having all my siblings and nieces and nephews there.
