4/1: Uncle Wayne and his family dropped by for just a few minutes that afternoon. Other than that, we just hung out around the house.
4/2: We
had an AWESOME BBQ at our house! Wayne BBQ'd chicken,
salmon, filet mignon, and veggies (zucchini, onions, peppers,
mushrooms), I made mashed potatoes, and Kiki made rolls. It was all so
good! And we had a great time hanging out together--so much that I
forgot to take pictures, ha ha.
4/3: A
super fun day at Boondocks Fun Center with Wayne's family, Kiki's family (sans Michael), and my parents (who got there in the late afternoon straight from their drive from Louisiana). We did all of the following--putt-putt, go-karts, batting
cages, arcade, bumper boats, and laser tag. It was so fun! And Jared was nice enough to stay home with the girls so I could go and have fun with my family.

| Storytime with Paw-paw that night |
4/4: We all went up Provo Canyon for a BBQ (hot dogs, Polish sausages, and corn). The
weather was perfect. We had a
great time, other than Makenna throwing up a couple of times because of
coughing; she started getting a cold that week and had it for almost 2 weeks. Jared ended up taking her home and the rest of us stayed for a
while. It was weird to just have Avery with me. Jared was up with her and Avery most of the
night but they were mostly OK the next day.
| My cousin, Halie--such a beauty! |
| Carma & Halie got along so perfectly--like they've known each other for years. They are both so sweet. |
| A walk with Daddy |
| Skipping rocks (or just throwing them, ha ha) |
| I'm their MUCH older cousin, ha ha! Their dad is only 6 years older than me. |
| Kiki making some s'mores. |
| Wy-wy in his own little world |
| I just want to eat her up! |
| Aaaaaaw!!! |
| After Jared brought Makenna home, Avery got to play in the sand of the volleyball court with the other kids. |
| This boy cracks me up with his imagination and how much he gets into his play world, ha ha! |
| Avery was army crawling in the sand at one point--yes, she had sand all in her diaper and everything! |
| Makenna did some coloring with Halie that night |
4/5: I went with Wayne, Kiki, Judson, Tim, and my parents to race
go-karts at FastKart in SLC. It was so much fun! I came in 3rd after Wayne and Tim, followed by Dad, Kiki, Mom, then Judson. We ended the night with dinner at Cheesecake Factory.
YUMMMMMM! My uncle and his family left after dinner to go back home to
CA. It was awesome hanging out with them and we really miss them. Hopefully, we'll be able to go visit them soon.
| HA HA HA!!! |
| Me, ready to race! |
| Some dancing in our living room after getting home from dinner |
4/6: Jared and I took the girls to the Lehi rec. center to swim. My parents came but didn't swim.
| Makenna didn't like wearing the life preserver at first but, once she got use to it, she just relaxed back and floated around. It was so cute! |
| New swimsuits! So adorable!!! |
| Jared took Avery down the huge indoor slide. As you can see, they were fully submerged at the bottom. |
| Needless to say, Avery did NOT think it was so fun and Makenna refused to go near Jared when he asked if she wanted to go down the slide, ha ha! |
| Dressed up and playing on Maw-maw's laptop that evening |
4/7: It was General Conference, so we didn't have to go to church. My parents had tickets and went to the morning session in the Conference Center. We just stayed home and watched it.
That's it for week 1. I'll post week 2 in a day or so...
